The Honeymoon is Over

Well, we're moving... We decided on a trench site at the CEA building that was our first stop yesterday. In order to be closer and not have to drive all the way across the city every day, we are moving to another Seismology Station nearby. The one at our trench site is much nicer looking (albeit very plain with no amenities) than the one we are moving to. At least we have heaters that may work, and a shower that may have warm water.

Unfortunately, this may also mean that updates will be less frequent, as our apartment does not have internet. The building next door to the apartments (10 in total in the building) is the seismology bureau building. We will have an office there that we can use, which will have internet.

So I'm not sure when I'll be able to post next, but hopefully it will be soon. I have a feeling this new experience will make me appreciate living in the Western Hemisphere more than I already do!

OK, I have 7 minutes to pack and get downstairs, so that's all for now!

  1. Deb Deb,

Do you work on Sundays? How's the new place working out? It is the one Mom described to me or a second location since the hotel in Tangshan? Sometimes when the honeymoon ends, the party begins!!

  2. We just got a short email from Debbie that she does not have internet at her current location. She borrowed the computer of her counterpart who has sattelite service occasionally.
She is well and hopes to move to a second trench location soon.
    Regards to All from Debbie.
